Building product manufacturers are finding out that thermoforming is an extremely efficient production process when compared to extrusion, injection molding and other plastic processes. Thermoforming is used today for vinyl window components, shower and bath ensembles, window well covers, skylights, insulation vents, wheelbarrows, paint pan liners and many other products in the building products industry.
Building products are produced on both shuttle and rotary cut sheet thermoforming equipment utilizing vacuum, pressure and twin sheet processes. The equipment is sized in ranges from 3’ x 4’ to 14’ x22’ for products from a multitude of materials such as polypropylene, APET, RPET, HDPE, HIPS, TPO, EPS, ABS, polycarbonate and acrylic.
Smaller, thinner gauge thermoformed products can be produced using Brown Machine's continuous thermoformers, trim presses, and tooling with configurations including production from roll stock or in-line extrusion and with either rule/forge die or match metal trim. |
